The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it can be alarmed about the superior variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior SRD variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area every day. The company point created for intervention activities a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
